Hello Dolly!   Dolly is a 3 yr old Pitty who was found by BCAC as a pregnant stray.  Her pups have all been adopted and Dolly is now spayed!!  She's a happy, playful dog however I would suggest and experienced Pitty owner and a home without cats

This pretty girl is Roxy, she's a pitty mix (heavy on the mix!).  She is a playful dog who loves playing water hose games!  She can be timid at first, but we're working on that.  She also loves hot dogs, tennis balls and gets along well with other dogs.

Adoption Pending on Minnie !!

This little cutie is Reggie!  He appears to be a Shepherd mix and was born early January and was found as a stray with his brother, Freddy.  Reggie is a sweet little boy looking for his lifelong home!

And this is Freddy!  He's Reggie's big brother!  Freddy looks like there might be some Collie mixed in with the Shepherd.  Freddy is a little "fluffier" than Reggie and cute as a button!!

This is Stacy, part of a litter of 8 collie mix puppies.  They were born late November and are happy, healthy and looking for their lifelong home!

Meet Shaun.  He's part of the litter of collie mix pups.  Half of the litter has been adopted and these boys are waiting for lifelong homes of their own.  Are you looking for a puppy?

All adoptions of the following dogs are handled directly through Berrien County Animal Control at 9204 Huckleberry Rd, Berrien Center, phone 269-471-7531.

Please consider visiting Berrien County Animal Control when looking to adopt a dog or cat.  I, personally have a boxer in my home, adopted from Animal Control.  He is a joy.  He's well behaved and great with children.  I could not have asked for a better dog.

If interested, please call in advance to make sure the dog you like has not already been adopted.

For more information an BCAC hours, etc., please go to the county website at:

You can see all the pets BCAC has available for adoption on Petfinder!

This is Smokey and he's a 1 yr old Boxer/Dalmation mix.  He is at BCAC with his dad and is good with older kids and other dogs.  He is current on basic vaccinations but needs his rabies vac.

This is Chester and he's an Italian Greyhound/Jack Russell mix...odd mix, eh?  He is 4 yrs old, very friendly, good with other dogs and older children.  He's probably house trained too!

All of our dogs are current on vaccinations and worming.  They are tested for heartworm (depending on age) and on monthly heartworm preventative.  All dogs that are altered while in our care are microchipped.  Puppies adopted prior to spay/neuter are not microchipped.  Our adoption fee for dogs ranges from $95.00 to $150.00

Meet River!  This guy is about 18 months old and loves everyone!  I am told he is the joy of his foster home!  He loves to play and lounge and is affectionate, loyal and docile.  He is house trained and gets along with dogs, cats and people or would be fine as an only dog.  River just wants a home of his own!!

This should be a picture of Ziggy, but he needs to be groomed before his photo shoot!  Ziggy is a little, black, Wire Haired Terrier mix.  He is under a year old, happy, playful and full of energy!

Lucy Leigh is Adopted !!

Meet Duke!  He is a 3 yr old Plott Hound.  Duke is house trained and gets along well with most other dogs but apparently thinks cats are toys (or whatever a Plott Hound would hunt!) He is playful and affectionate and likes to roll on the floor and play.  Give a hound some hope..come meet Duke, you'll be happy you did!

And here is little Shane.  He's one of the collie mix puppies who is looking for a lifelong home.  This litter was born early November.

And this is Shadow!  He is part of the Collie mix litter, although he's starting to look like there might be some AmStaf in that mix!  All these babies are sweeties and looking for their lifelong home!

Notice the size of the chew ring next to the puppy?  What does that say?  Either says small puppy with big attitude or large chew toy!  With little Athena here I have to say the former is true.  She is a little thing, likely born late January.  She appears to be a Yellow Lab mix.  She's just adorable and getting ready to get her first booster shots.

Obstacles are those frightening things you see when you take your eyes off the goal.
