Save A Stray is a registered 501c3 Non Profit
Save A Stray is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of homeless pets. Our goal is to work with the community and other local pet welfare groups to improve the canine and feline condition within our local area. For more information visit our "About Us" page.
Save A Stray recently received grants totaling $750 from American Electric Power in recognition of volunteer service by five AEP workers.
The grants of $150 each are in honor of volunteer time donated by Irene Weaver, Danielle Burgoyne, Ronda Watkins, Drew Ego and Brittany Ego through the AEP Connects program.
The program recognizes the commitment of AEP employees and retirees to their communities and supports causes that are important to them. Michael Morris, chairman, president and CEO, said 940 grants were made company-wide last year representing more than 124,000 volunteer hours donated by AEP workers and retirees and their families.

Rescue Wish List
We are in need of donations of cat/kitten and dog/puppy food. We go through a lot of Purina products (cat chow/kitten chow/puppy and dog chow). We would GREATLY appreciate any donation you are able to make. We are also in need of collars (small and large), leashes and harnesses. We have a donation bin located inside Family Farm & Home, Martin's PawMart and Pater True Value or you can contact us directly at info@save-a-stray.org. If you can make a donation of pet food, or a maybe a gift card for a local pet store, we and our foster pets would be VERY THANKFUL.
